To qualify for treatment at Teton Peaks Residential Facility, adolescents ages 12-18 must:
- Have a Primary Psychiatric Illness, including but not limited to depression, mood disorders, anxiety, post traumatic stress, psychosis, medical issues complicated by a psychiatric disorder and drug or alcohol related issues associated with a primary psychiatric disorder.
- Be assessed as intellectually, cognitively, and emotionally able to benefit from residential treatment.
- Have emotional, mental, or behavioral problems that cannot be adequately treated in the existing home or school environment.
- Not have responded to other intensive therapeutic interventions such as outpatient care or acute hospitalizations.
Exclusion Criteria: Adolescents who present with severe sexual disorders, moderate intellectual disabilities, a history of predatory behavior, a history of fire starting, Conduct Disorder as a primary diagnosis, prolonged noncompliance with treatment expectations, or cognitive disabilities which preclude benefit from our program.
